Key Objectives:
To take full control, responsibility and accountability for all aspects of all projects or sections of projects assigned to you, by your Senior Manager / Director. To deliver all projects or sections of projects to the right quality, on time, within the set budgets and safely using sound business ethics incorporating procedures within the Quality Management System.
Job Objectives & Responsibilities:
" Take responsibility of the Health & Safety and Welfare of all members of staff under your control, ensuring that the clients high standards of safety are maintained at all times on all works undertaken.
" Take responsibility for the efficient and cost effective management of all projects or sections of projects under your control, ensuring that the clients Quality Management System is implemented, monitored, controlled and adhered to for all works.
" Ensure that all statutory legislation, regulations and procedures are fully adhered to.
" Ensure that all staff under your control are correctly inducted, assessed, trained and fully aware of their legal obligations as an employee and their responsibilities to the company and the client.
" In conjunction with your Senior Manager / Director and your Human Resources representative: Identify the recruitment needs to fulfill the requirements of your projects; conduct interviews and select staff.
" In accordance with Employment Contracts and Company Procedures, take responsibility for the performance assessment, discipline, welfare, pay, overtime, holiday approvals, sickness/absenteeism administration expenses etc. for all staff under your control.
" Liaise and meet with the Client representatives on a regular basis to ensure that good working relationships are managed and to ascertain what the Client's short, medium and long term requirements are met in full. To ensure that the Client and your Senior Manager / Director are immediately informed of any red flag issues or complaints.
" Monitor and schedule all project works, updating your Senior Manager / Director formerly on a weekly progress report by the close of business on a Friday, or on a more regular basis should the need arise. Maintain daily contact with your Senior Manager / Director.
" Control and monitor all suppliers, contract and consultant contracts. Liaise with the Commercial Manager to ensure that all relevant clauses relating to: General Conditions of Contract; Costs/Payments; Performance; Safety; Quality and Programming are suitably catered for.
" Control all expenditure on your projects.
" Prepare and monitor budget estimates for progress and finance reporting.
" Check and approve (if correct) all sub-contract payments for authorisation by your Senior Manager / Director.
" Ensure that your project costs are constantly managed and controlled to ensure maximum contribution is delivered back to the business.
" Take full responsibility for the end of month financial reporting liaising with Accounts department as necessary. Authorise the end of month accounts for each project under your control and present them to your Senior Manager / Director for sign off during a monthly contract review meeting.
" To ensure that all reports and returns that you submit are on time, in the correct format and are fully checked and accurate.
" To hold a minimum of fortnightly meetings with your staff to ensure that they are fully briefed on the current: Project Status, Schedules, Priorities and Policies.
